Privacy policy

This policy explains what MicroLearn collects about you, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. MicroLearn is run by Addictive Learning Technology Limited.
What we collect
- Account details: the mobile number or email address you sign in with, and your name. If you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile photo Google shares with us.
- Your choices: the interests you pick when you first sign in, and your settings.
- Your learning: the courses you own, how much of each module you have watched, your streaks, XP, levels, badges and certificates, the courses you save, and the assignments you submit.
- Payments: what you bought, the price, the order reference and whether the payment went through. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay, not to us.
- Messages: anything you send our support team.
- Technical details: your IP address, your device and browser type, and records of requests to our servers, which we need to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- to sign you in and keep you signed in;
- to give you the courses you bought and remember where you are in them;
- to issue your certificates and confirm them to people who check;
- to show your streaks, XP, badges and leaderboard position;
- to send you sign-in codes and messages about your account, your courses and your payments;
- to answer you when you contact us;
- to prevent fraud and abuse, and keep accounts and payments secure;
- to keep the records the law requires, such as tax and payment records.
We do not sell your personal data.
What other people can see
- Other learners on a course can see your name and progress on its leaderboard and learner list. You can turn this off in the app, under Settings, Notifications & privacy.
- Anyone with your certificate's ID or QR code can open its verification page, which shows your name, the course and the date it was issued. That is how an employer can check it.
Where your data is stored
Our servers are run by a cloud provider in Singapore, so your data is stored and processed outside India. Some of the providers above may also process it in other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete the number, email address or Google account you signed in with and the interests you picked, and we clear your name, email address and photo.
We keep the records of your orders, payments and certificates after that, because we need them for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
Your choices and rights
- Correct your details: change your name in your profile, or write to us.
- Delete your account: in the app, under Settings, Delete account, or by writing to us.
- Hide yourself from other learners: in the app, under Settings, Notifications & privacy.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, or withdraw a consent you gave: write to us.
- Complain: write to us first. If you are not satisfied, you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping it safe
Everything between your device and our servers is encrypted. Sign-in codes are never written into our logs. Team members who can see learner data sign in with two-factor authentication, and what they look at is recorded.
Children
MicroLearn is built for working professionals and is not meant for children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MicroLearn changes. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes too.
